Good food served in a lovely room with stunning views of the gardens and the mountains beyond. The Winston's Restaurant is a huge favourite with our guests and local customers alike. Our Head Chef, while renowned for creating fine food and tantalising menus, will always be delighted to prepare your favourite dish if it doesn't appear on the menu. An excellent wine list specially created for the Winston's restaurant will ensure your meal is a complete success.

Summer: Closed Tuesday Opening 6.30pm to 9.00pm

Fresh local oysters son a bed of ice and accompanied by a wedge of lemon and Tabasco sauce.

Haunch of wild boar served with a blackberry and wild cider sauce new potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Our chef's own seafood terrine with local scallops, oysters, fresh salmon and smoked salmon wrapped in bacon. Served with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Fresh local trout
Rainbow trout from local waters pan fried in butter and served with toasted almonds and Jerusalem new potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Scottish venison cooked with a juniper chutney & Drambuie sauce served with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Poached Scottish Salmon
Darn of salmon poached in a court bullion served with a Maltese sauce and with Jerusalem new potatoes and seasonal vegetables
Grilled Salmon Hollandaise

Local fresh scallops poached in a court-bouillon and served with a spring onion and pernod sauce and with Jerusalem new potatoes and seasonal vegetables

Local whole Skye prawns simply tossed in a garlic butter sauce and served with warm rolls and butter and a crisp salad

Our cosy bar is dedicated to all those extraordinary people who have served and are currently serving in the military!
In our bar you will find military crests past and present, a full size standard diving helmet, photos from operational units, and a special photo or two! You will even find Black Watch tartan, in honour of Ian Tongs who served in the Black Watch.
We have a lovely selection of local and Scottish beers, along with the more popular brands. If whiskey is more to your liking, there is a personal collection to choose from.
The Heroes’ Bar is a must for anyone with a passion for the military services. If you would like to add something from your own military unit, or honour a friend, we would love to hear from you!
