Rhododendrons and Azaleas, you can choose to stay in the main building
or in the delightfully secluded Hunting Lodge less than a minute’s
walk from the main building. All our rooms at the MacKinnon Country
House Hotel benefit from central heating, en-suite bathroom, direct
dial telephone, colour television, hair drier and tea and coffee making
facilities.
A very special feature in every en-suite bathroom is the fine array
of beautiful toiletries made especially for you on the Isle of Arran.
The MacKinnon Country House Hotel built in 1912 by Major Archie MacKinnon
was originally named Dunringell after his clan’s old fort near
Elgol. Respected as an ideal example of a Scottish country house hotel,
the MacKinnon has ten rooms in the main building. A further eight
rooms in the Hunting Lodge provides the perfect setting for the romantic
at heart!
Overlooked by the magnificent Sgurr na Coinnich mountain range and
set in over four acres of magnificent gardens, the hotel has been
awarded three stars by the Scottish Tourist Board.
